ASSISTANT FINANCIAL SPECIALIST

The position of Assistant Financial Specialist is responsible for supporting the Financial Specialist in his/her efforts to meet the client’s needs as well as develop and grow the sales team. In order to gain a first hand understanding of our clients and their motivations, you will be mentored and trained to understand our existing systems and how to use it to help distressed home owners.

As a team member, you must have a strong sense of urgency to perform at the highest levels while maintaining a customer service focus that builds strong client relationships and supports your team in its efforts to close deals.

Furthermore, you will be building relationships with new and existing customers, actively supporting all product offerings, and support and drive company initiatives. You will model and act in accordance with Intraspect Group guiding principles.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Conduct phone meetings with clients to obtain information and answer questions about company products.

  • Analyze client financial status, credit, and property evaluations to help determine qualification for company products which best meet client’s needs.

  • Work with clients to identify their financial constraints and find ways to resolve them.

  • Explain products and options that are available, as well as the terms of those products.

  • Obtain and compile copies of client credit histories and other supporting financial information.

  • Review and update Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) with client information and historical notes.

  • Review client documents to ensure that they are complete and accurate.

  • Confer with client lenders, trustee and attorney to aid in resolving mortgage problems.

  • Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.

  • Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet customers' needs.

  • Conduct self in a courteous and professional manner and in compliance with all company, state and federal laws, rules and/or regulations.

  • Avoid actual and/or the appearance of impropriety in acts or conduct.

  • Pull credit report; appraisal, notary, inspection, courier, title and escrow.

  • Documenting/Recording Information - Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in company CRM systems.

  • Processing Information - Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

  • Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships - Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.

  • Communicating with Persons Outside Organization - Representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources, either in person or via writing, phone or e-mail.

  • Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events - Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Economics and Accounting – Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.

  • Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

  • English Language- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

  • Clerical – Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedure and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

  • Law and Government – Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules.

  • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Mathematical Reasoning - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly with the ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.

  • Oral Expression – Ability to communicate information and ideals clearly while listening to and understanding information and ideas presented.

  • Active Listening – Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying without interrupting; take time to understand points being made; ask questions as appropriate.

  • Reading and Writing Comprehension – Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.

  • Near Vision – Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

  • Supervisor - Sales Manager

  • Work Hours - 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday or as necessary.

  • Location - Downtown Seattle office
